Year 11 Bridging

Making BTEC and A level choices.

Why choose St Bede’s?

It’s easy – you matter to us! Pastoral care at St. Bede’s is underpinned by our Catholic Values and our commitment to forming the whole person. We recognise the value and worth of each student and that they deserve to be safe, happy and able to flourish in a loving and supportive environment.

The Sixth Form Pastoral team includes the Director of Sixth Form, two Heads of Year and a dedicated Pastoral Manager. During daily tutor time, you will be supported by an experienced Sixth Form tutor, who shall provide invaluable care, expertise and advice. In addition to this we have dedicated full-time support for attendance, safeguarding, behaviour, home-school communication, medical needs and chaplaincy.

We work very closely both with the Year 11 Pastoral team at St Bede’s and the schools of our external applicants, to ensure that students have a positive and supportive move from main school to joining us here at Sixth Form. We have developed an engaging and thorough Taster and Transition Programme that will help students to become more familiar with the Sixth Form and prepare for the exciting opportunities on offer.

We are an inclusive school who believe in the potential of all our students. Students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities are served by our dedicated SEND team. We are proactive in ensuring inclusivity in all aspects of our provision and seek to remove any barriers for our students.

We recognise that our students and their families, may need to lean on us at different times and for a variety of reasons.  We are here to support everyone in our community. We have an open-door policy and encourage families to contact us in times of need.
